"Treatment of bilateral frozen shoulders"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Physiotherapy General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

Using Econsult I saw the practice-based physiotherapist Alan in Elgin in August 2021 for treatment of bilateral frozen shoulders. After a very thorough assessment he treated me with a steroid injection in my right shoulder. This led to significant improvement and I saw him again in November 2021 for the same treatment in my left shoulder. This has already – within three days – led to a significant improvement in that shoulder as well. This has made it possible to cancel a planned outpatient appointment with one of the Grampian orthopaedic consultants.

I was hugely impressed by the digital access to the right practitioner at the right time, and by the treatment and professionalism of the advanced practitioner physiotherapist and would highly recommend him to others with similar concerns.

Dear Sainty,

Thank you so much for emailing me with the practice details - it meant I was able to share your kind words directly with the staff there.

The Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist has emailed to say he very much appreciates you getting in touch as it's always good to have positive feedback. He has shared your feedback with the wider team who he knows he couldn't do his job without the support of.

I hope your shoulders are still improving.

Kirsten
