I was re-admitted to hospital through triage with pre-eclampsia and breathing difficulties having only been discharged home the previous day. There were two midwives in particular who stood out for me with their care. 1st one is Angela, she was always cheery and really helpful. She knows what she is speaking about and nothing was too much trouble for her. Found her caring attitude helped keep me calm while waiting to go for a section especially when i didn't know when i would be going. The other midwife was Hannah. Again i can't fault her care and she was always polite and friendly. They are both a credit to the ward as well as the other staff i have came into contact with.
After having my baby i was transferred to the ashgrove ward. Everytime i have been on that ward the care has always been second to none from the midwives. There was a midwife who noticed how exhausted i was as i struggled to stay awake so she took my baby for a period of time overnight so i could get some sleep. I will forever be grateful to her for that and was nice of her to do that, unfortunately I can't remember her name.
I would also like to mention a Dr Annoh who saw me numerous times when I was admitted to the Summerfield ward. His care was reassuring when i was worried after being admitted with pre-eclampsia and even found time to come and speak to me a few times regarding my worries and also explain the medical side of things for it to make sense to me. I can't fault any of the medical staff I seen when I was admitted but he stood out for me personally. Nice to have a friendly face and attitude to help feel reassured, which I have found from the medical and midwifery staff.
