"GP not listening"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as the patient),

The  GP accused me of faking my illness before my diagnosis came out. Because of this an alert that was put on my file.  The issues that I had were terrible. Why accuse someone of this before the actual diagnosis comes out?  I now live in constant pain and agony over it. In my view the GP can be so arrogant and cheeky and doesn’t listen to their patients

Dear Falconph64

I am sorry to read about your experiences with your GP and that you have been left feeling unlistened to.

GP's are independent contractors with a separate feedback and complaints procedure, they are also not registered to respond directly to feedback through Care Opinion. Therefore, can I suggest contacting the Practice Manager to discuss your concerns.

If you don’t feel comfortable the Patient Advice and Support Service may be able to help. They can provide confidential and independent advice and support. You can find more information at https://www.cas.org.uk/pass or you can telephone 0800 917 2127.

Kind Regards

Nicole
