"Admission with COVID-19"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency Causeway Hospital / Medical 2 Causeway Hospital / X-Ray Department

(as the patient),

Covid hit me hard, unexpectedly as I am fit strong, training 5 days a week.

I was admitted to A&E in Coleraine and quickly diagnosed, X-Ray’d and moved onto a Covid ward for ongoing treatment.

The staff I encountered were the absolute best people humans on the planet. I am so grateful for each of their kindness and help over the 9 days.

Martin T

My name is Natalie and I am the Assitant Clinical Services Manager of the Emergency Department in Causeway.

I am sorry to hear you have had to be recently admitted to hospital with Covid-19. However, I am pleased to learn that your experience has been positive, and your journey through ED was smooth, and you were admitted to a ward within a timely manner.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your feedback. The staff will be so grateful to hear that you were treated with care and kindness. Staff have been working relentlessly through the covid pandemic, and hearing you describe them as the absolute best people humans on the planet will really give them a much needed morale boost.

I wish you a full and speedy recovery.

Kind Regards

Natalie McLaughlin
