"Cancelled appointment"

About: Finchley Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

I had an appointment for infusion made 6 months ago at the time of my last infusion in May.

I telephoned and confirmed when I went for the pre infusion blood test and covid test.

When I arrived at Finchley Memorial for my infusion yesterday they told me the time had changed to 1 hour later at 4 pm.  After waiting until 4.40 pm I enquired when I would be called and was told I would be called shortly.  Finally at 5.20 I was informed by person in charge that my medication had not arrived and my appointment had been cancelled.  We had to make our way home in the dark as our eyesight is not good at our age, for nothing.

I had sat waiting with my relative (who was going to escort me home )all that time..   Now I am wondering if the covid and blood test will have to be redone if another appointment is not made soon.  That will be 2 days wasted.

The person in charge was supposed to ring the next day for another appointment but no call has come.

Also this almost happened at my last infusion in May at Finchley Memorial

I waited 2 hours for the medication to arrive.  They told me the pharmacy did not know of my appointment.
