"Impressed by A & E/X-ray Experience"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Radiology

(as a service user),

I  attended A+E with chest pain and palpitations last week and was extremely impressed by the care I recieved, even though the department was very busy. I was triaged by a lovely staff nurse, Lorna, who helped calm and reassure me as I was frightened and  upset.  Lorna then passed my care to another lovely staff nurse, Lynsey, who was also very caring and efficient.

I was reviewed by an excellent ANNP, Amy, who was empathetic,  knowledgeable but also reassuring.  Amy organised a chest xray which i got reasonably quickly and  a lovely radiographer called Helen was very kind, professional and caring during the xray process.

I knew both A+E and the XRAY dept were under a lot of pressure that morning but the staff remained calm and caring.

Dear Jmum,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. I'm sorry to hear you have been unwell and I hope your health is improving.

It is always lovely to receive such kind words and feedback for the staff. I will make sure your gratitude is passed on to the radiographer who attended to you for x-ray.

With warm wishes,

Sara
