"Lost in the system"

I was admitted to the SATA ward at the RAH at the beginning of June 2021. It transpired that it was not COVID related and I had an issue with my stomach. I was discharged 2 days later and was advised that a scan would be arranged for me as an out-patient.

I attended the Victoria Hospital 6 days later for my scan but have never received any results or update. Called my GP who had no record of me having a scan or of who actually arranged it, spoke to medical record at the RAH and they had no idea either.

Eventually called the SATA ward to be told that a discharge letter had never been completed by the Doctor on the ward and that was the reason there was no follow up. This is now November and I still have no idea of my results or the Consultant who arranged it.

I just hope that there are not any issues with my scan as 3 months later I am still in the dark. Not very reassuring when I have been completely missed due to a simple admin procedure of doing a letter on my discharge from hospital. Not sure where I go from here??
