"Admission to hospital"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I was seen in a&e by Dr Ruth. She was very thorough and appeared to be empathetic with the issues I was having.  I was then admitted to female surgical ward. All I can say is the care was outstanding.

The care I recieved from deputy sister Denise was second to none. There are no words that would adequately describe her care towards me and the other patients here. She is amazing and definitely helped me relax during my admission. She was always checking in on me to see how I was.  Nothing was a bother to her. She was always run off her feet and I think she needs an award for her professionalism.

Another nurse that stood out for me was night nurse Dinah. Again nothing was a problem for her.

Dr Lucas was also outstanding and very thorough with his care towards me. He really made me feel like he was listening to me and I feel like he was trying to get to the bottom of my issue.

Overall I feel my care was outstanding and these nurses deserve more recognition for the things they do. "Not all nurses wear capes"

Good morning

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive feedback on care opinion regarding your inpatient stay in Female Surgical Ward. Feedback like this is greatly valued.

I am delighted to share with Denise and Dinah your lovely comments so they can read how patient centred care makes a lasting impact on our patients and aids recovery.

I hope you keep well.

Kind regards
