Nhs Fife Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy - I've had 3 ceserean sections at this hospital.
My most recent baby was born at 38 weeks by emergency ceserean (initially a planned ceserean scheduled for 39 weeks). I went to the hospital for a check up, doctor surprised me by saying I was actually 8 cms dilated, therefore taken straight down to theatre, and baby was born a few hours after I was admitted to hospital, at 8pm that night!
The expertise, skill, and professionalism demonstrated by the surgical team was absolutely outstanding. My baby was in a rather awkward position, I had lots of scar tissue, and they had to reposition my bladder during the ceserean too! Every single member of staff was reassuring, kind, professional, dedicated, and skilled. My husband and I are once again so incredibly thankful and grateful to all who were involved in the delivery of our most recent baby, and our other two children too in previous years.
After excellent care on the recovery ward, my baby and I were in the hospital for four days after he was born. The staff were all caring, kind, supportive, helpful, and really just amazing all round! The food was very good too and everywhere was spotlessly clean and hygienic.
Thank you so, so, much NHS Fife.
