About: Forth Valley Community Services / Immunisation Team

(as a service user),

I checked online and my local Boots stores (Bo'ness and Linlithgow) were both on the list.

I called the Bo'ness store and was offered a private vaccination. When I asked about an NHS appointment I was told to book online. I did try that but couldn't find the relevant section on the website.

I called the Linlithgow store and was told they had no NHS appointments until December.

Janet101 thank you for sharing your experience. I am sorry you have had difficulty booking an appointment at your local pharmacy. Since your feedback we have spoken to the area manager for Boots in Falkirk. They reported some logistical and workforce issues at the time you had these challenges and was sorry to hear the impact this had on your experience. To respond to this, they have suggested taking forward some changes in the way vaccines are being administered in some of the smaller pharmacies and we have agreed to work with them to offer support where necessary.

I cannot see detail about whether you have received your vaccine in your post. If you have not then please contact our local helpline so we can arrange an appointment for you at one of our vaccination centres -
