"Lacking of support"

Very disappointed and hurt by not being listened to from me as a long time user (expert) wishing my knowledge was more understanding and taken as a serious plead for the right help i knew was so important 

This was my experience I suffered when I achieved all goals and concurred my methadone program by reducing by two mg a month over a 12 month period at my request, but I was so shocked to be dismissed when I was no longer on their books and so desperately needed the after care which I feel is so critical when a person has achieved so much.

This was the treatment I received by the drug service (c.g.l.) at London road in Fleetwood Lancashire. Thanks for taking my concerns seriously as I would not like this to happen again to another person who may not be as strong in his mind as i have had to be. So many thanks

Hello Storms:

Firstly what an amazing result you have achieved with your own recovery. CGL do appreciate the time you have taken to express your thoughts and to raise your concerns, without the feedback from the very people who access our service then changes can not happen and improvements cannot be put in place.

I am available to listen to your concerns and would like to discuss them with you in more detail. Inspire have continued to work through the whole of the COVID pandemic, offering alternative options to maintain support to all who access the service and please be assured that Inspire in North & Central Lancashire do have support services, both digitally and face to face available and links in the community that can support "aftercare" and I would be happy to discuss the options with you.I would like to apologise that these options appear to have not been shared or discussed with you.

We also have a weekly service user forum which you could attend and speak with our service user reps. Please do contact myself or the Inspire service user involvement lead if you would like to discuss this.

My issues were mainly the waiting time of several days which is really bad - as we all know, when you need some help when ever your mental state starts to crumble, you can’t wait. You need that support as you are breaking, this is why there are sometimes casualties and there is no coming back from that sometimes, and no one wants that as an all we achieved scenario. If this can’t be addressed, then it’s a sad day for some of the people who really want to change, the best advice is ANY …
