"My daughters care"

About: Adult Community District Nursing Teams / Arches District Nursing Team

(as a parent/guardian),

Over past few months I have come to appreciate the importance of daily visits from district nursing team and their care for my daughter. 

While I have never met any of them I know the care provided by Orla, Geraldine and Megan and others is making a massive difference to her quality of life both physically and mentally just in the positive way she speaks about them. Nothing ever seems to much trouble and they have her best interests in all they say and do. 

I appreciate especially in the current pandemic times this is not an easy job but they’ve given her back dignity and self esteem in a difficult period. I have no doubt that their care has kept her out of hospital the last several months and I know she feels much safer at home. I know as her father looking in from the outside I know she’s in good hands which gives me peace of mind. 

Please pass on my thanks to Orla and team for their ongoing holistic care and the reassurance it gives to us parents.

Dear rhinoxy97,

Thankyou for taking the time to write your kind words of appreciation to Orla, Geraldine, Megan and the extended District Nursing Team.

It is humbling to hear that our District nurses have made such a positive impact on your daughters quality of life both physically and mentally and that she speaks about them so positively.

As District Nurses we will always do everything we can to keep our patients at home and prevent admission to hospital. As a parent it is heart warming to hear that you are reassured and have peace of mind that you your daughter in in safe hands.

I have passed on your kind words of appreciation to Oral and the team. As always the District Nursing team are always grateful to hear they are appreciated and have made a difference. During these times and the challenges that the current pandemic brings it is even more so appreciated.
