I have struggled many years with my mental health and anxiety to points were i dipped so low and sadly felt life wasn't worth living! Which I regret and thankfully recovered with help from family and friends.
In June 2021 I once again had a struggle with my mental wellbeing. I was at breaking point and couldn't face work deal with simple life tasks! Having a very good relationship with my GP I pleaded for help. Whilst I am on medication I knew I needed more professional help and support. I was very hesitant and unsure what service could help! I was also embarrassed and worried about being judged and how sharing my mental health issues could impact potentially on my employment.
I was referred to the SEHSCT Contact Management Programme! I knew nothing about the service. I can honestly say it was the best experience from start to finish! I had a fantastic doctor who offered me 14 weekly CBT sessions. It was life changing and has helped me develop skills techniques and it has been a journey with outstanding results! It has impacted so positively and I am grateful to this therapy and can't believe the positive changes on my work life but more importantly my own personal life!
I will forever keep my experience and new skills and coping mechanism forever.
From the office staff and other professionals such as the physio department too I can't thank the team enough! Highly recommend this service 100% and more! It has changed me for LIFE a big thanks to the setrust for offering this invaluable opportunity and support service.
