"Colonoscopy - thank you for looking after me"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

This Monday pm I went to get a Colonscopy procedure in the Victoria Hospital. I've had one before and was not looking forward to it. I actually was really nervous. The nursing staff and person (I think his name was Mike) who did the procedure I found was very friendly, reassuring, put me at ease by talking to me to distract what was happening, held my hand at one point when I felt anxious and were very professional.  Once back on the ward the staff there were attentive and caring. I have to say the wait for the toast and tea was worth it. I could not fault the whole experience. Thank you for looking after me.

Dear Bleather

Thank you for your feedback.

It is understandable that you felt a bit nervous coming for a procedure and it was lovely to read that our staff were able to put you at ease and keep you well informed throughout your stay with us.

I will make sure that Mike and the team see your post and I am sure that they will be grateful for your kind words.

I agree that there is nothing like hospital tea and toast:)

I hope that you have recovered well

Take care

Gill
