I'm pleased to say that I have been treated expertly by two podiatrists, one an excellent podiatry student and the other a highly experienced expert podiatrist, both of whom gave me superb treatment and advice as their patient.
Olivia, a podiatry student from Ulster University practising at Belfast's Bradbury Health Centre, gained my confidence immediately with her warm, positive, confident manner. My confidence in Olivia was confirmed when she did a neurological assessment of my feet, and I had no hesitation in agreeing to Olivia's supervising podiatrist Rachel's offer of having Olivia carry out nail cutting operations on my feet if - and only if - I agreed to this. I appreciated Rachel's clear emphasis on my democratic freedom of choice here.
Olivia then proceeded to do nail cutting operations on both my vulnerable feet in a careful, successful way, supervised closely and supportively at every stage by Rachel, Olivia's supervisor. I am particularly grateful for Rachel's wise, expert caution to to me to return immediately to using diabetic foot cream on my feet instead of the product I had been overusing on them previously. I have done just this, with excellent results.
My sincere thanks to both these clinicians.
