"Poor Telephone Service"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / Urology

(as a relative),

I been ringing and ringing numbers of times to ward 305 for ages. No one seems to answer the phones. I especially need updated, from transfer from another ward into this ward.  From my experience, when they do answer they put you on hold for at least 15 mins.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty getting through to Ward 305. We have been up to the ward and spoken to the nurse in charge. She advises that if you call the main switchboard number 0121 627 2000 and ask them to put you through to the 'Nurse in charge mobile' this should get you straight through to someone who can help. If you still experience difficulties, or wish to discuss this in more detail please make contact with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) to provide your details. PALS are here to help and can be contacted by phone 0121 424 0808, by email PALS@uhb.nhs.uk or by contact form at https://www.uhb.nhs.uk/forms/contact-complaint-concern.
