About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Daisy Paediatric Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

We would like to express our gratitude to every member of the paediatric team from doctors, nurses, support workers to cleaners who cared for our daughter over the last 8 days. Despite the huge pressures on the health service we got excellent care and never for a second felt there was any shortage of staff although we know this is not the case.

Our daughter was very unwell but Dr Matthew took great care of her and nurses Lisa, Ciara, Shauna, Cassie, Julie, student Megan and many more treated her as their own to get her through the RSV that is going around. I’m sorry I have not remembered everyone’s names but we were there so long and are still exhausted. Every staff member who cared for her was excellent.

She is now recovering well and may I add that the facilities in Daisyhill paediatrics are 1st class with private en-suite rooms. Thank you all so much for getting our daughter through.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on the Paediatric Ward. I am so glad to hear your child is recovering well.

We pride ourselves on having a great team but it is lovely to hear this echoed by a parent using the service. I am delighted you were pleased with the facilities provided to you and your daughter during your stay and that your experience was a positive one.
