"All the staff are great but more variety in the food"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 1 North Cardiology

(as the patient),

All of the staff in Craigavon area hospital are great and I have absolutely no complaints about them. I am in a nice ward and the wifi works really well so I can facetime my family especially my kids. It is a bit annoying how we can only have one visitor every other day for 45 minutes but I understand that that is because of COVID. The food is ok however, one complaint that I have is that there are only two types of soups on the menu - chicken and vegetable. I have been in here for 2 weeks and it is very repetitive. I would love to see a bit more variety on the menu especially soups.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to share your experience of 1 North.

I am glad that you found 1 North to be comfortable and that the Wi-Fi worked well and it allowed you to connect with your friends and family outside the hospital. The lack of visiting can be very frustrating for both you and your family. As you mentioned the restrictions are in place due to COVID, however the rules with regards to visiting are re-assessed regularly, hopefully things will start to improve soon. I'm sorry to hear that you have been an inpatient with us for quite a long time, I have passed your concerns with regards to the lack of variety on to the catering team who will hopefully respond to your suggestions.

Many thanks

Hope you feel better soon

Kirsty
