"Recovery with inclusion"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / Gosport

(as a service user),

After 10 years of sobriety, I picked up a drink, causing pain and upset to those around me, bringing me, all the shame and guilt that my alcoholism always brings. I engaged with Inclusion, attended groups, talked with my key worker, became a service user rep, attended online meetings, and had Councelling. A year ago, I lost my grandchildren, my home, my family. Today, I work full-time in a job I love, live with my understanding, supportive partner of 6 years, have rebuilt my broken relationship with my daughter, and let go of a family which I allowed to harm me. Today, through the programme of recovery offered by Inclusion, my willingness to engage, I no longer feel guilt, shame, hurt nor anger. I work my programme each and every day, with the tools gathered by attending Inclusion. Forever grateful to Simon, Becky, Nikki J, Nikki (reception), Gordon (Councillor), Andy and All of the service users who helped me to get where I am today.

Thank you for sharing your story and for your positive feedback. I am delighted that you accessed support from Inclusion and through engaging with the support available to you, you have changed your life in such a positive way. Recovery is not an easy journey but through courage, openness to change and hard work you have shown what can be achieved.

I wish you all the very best in your continued recovery and I will pass on your comments to the Gosport Team.
