"Cosleeping on children’s ward"

About: Borders General Hospital / Paediatrics (Ward 15)

(as a parent/guardian),

Toddler was admitted for bronchiolitis.  Difficult to settle in the hospital cot but calmed when next to me.  Ward staff very quickly took out the cot and my folding bed for a full-size bed so we could cosleep as we do at home.  Helped immeasurably. Still tough, but much quicker to settle each time he woke.

Dear Sarah70,

It is lovely to hear you were supported with your wish to co sleep with your toddler as you do at home. We appreciate how it can be difficult to settle a child when they are unwell. It is important to us that families are fully supported. I shall share with the team your kind comments.

best wishes

Shona
