Anything else?
I had a bike accident- my handle bar went into my thigh after a car crashed into me
I was taken to the A&E which was fine and normal. The doctors then see my wound and said they wanted to investigate it further, which was fine and wasn't scary.
Then I was moved to the ward that I would be staying in for few days.
There was feaces and bile on the floor all of the time, the nurses didn't have much time to clear it up.
The doctors came around the next morning and told me my wound was fine. It was a deep wound and it was bleeding still but there was no pus, so I was very glad.
However, the nurses didn't stitch my wound up, instead they gave me the stitches and cleaning fluid in a bag to take home and apply myself. I couldn't even stand on my leg and I don't know anything about applying stiches. I was sent home with a gaping leg wound.
My mum drove me to a walk-in centre where they cleaned the wound for me and put stitches on it, and told me to come back in a few days- they were very helpful and kept checking the wound every week until it had healed and I could walk on my leg again.
