"I feel privileged to have this treatment"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Urology Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Urology

(as a service user),

I'm leaving some feedback about the urology departments at Barnstable hospital and Exeter. I've been attending for prostate cancer, I haven't had any chemo yet, haven't had any radiotherapy, but I've had several urology based procedures done between now and a year ago. It started in October 2020, so its getting on 12 months now. Most procedures were done at Barnstable, but I had some scans at Exeter, CT possibly.

First of all, I feel in the current situation with the NHS, quite privileged to have this treatment, in view of the thousands of people waiting. I am extremely satisfied with my treatment, it was very thorough. Every test that could be done, has been done. They have a good liaison situation, I can speak to any particular member of staff if I need to know something specific. I am very happy with my treatment.

Dear octansgj64

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave such lovely feedback with regard to your investigations you have had under the care of the urology department at NDDH and Exeter. I am sorry that you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer but I am pleased that you feel all your investigations have been done in a timely fashion without delay. As, I am sure you know, our urology nurse specialists can always be contacted on 01271 311881 for help/advice during office hours should you need to do so. I wish you well for any further treatment you may need at NDDH in the future.

Many thanks again for your kind feedback which helps to boost staff morale in these difficult times.

Kind regards

Paula
