"Day Centre-Paisley Royal Infirmary"

About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Maternity Day Care

(as a service user),

Due to complications with my pregnancy, I had to attend the day centre every second day for CTG scans and to monitor my heart rate for the final 4 weeks of pregnancy. The ladies within this department worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they honestly kept me calm during the hardest time. The department was always extremely busy (I would even say they need more staff because it was always insane) yet these ladies always had a smile, were on the go constantly and treated myself and everyone I witnessed with great care, compassion and professionalism during this pandemic. In particular Elizabeth, Moira, Michelle and Liz were outstanding in their work ethic and the care they gave me. I felt sad when it was time to stop attending to give birth as they had honestly became like friends as they were so supportive during a hard time.

Dear Colleen81

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience in daycare at RAH. I am sorry to hear that you developed complications during your pregnancy and required extra monitoring. However, it is great to hear that you were looked after so well by the daycare staff and that despite being very busy they were caring, compassionate and professional at all times. I will share your feedback with the staff in daycare in particular Elizabeth, Moira, Michelle and Liz who were outstanding in their work ethic and the care they gave you. I know it will mean so much to them to hear of the positive and lifelong effect they had on you and your pregnancy journey.

I hope you are now fully recovered and doing well.

Best wishes

Angela Duffy
