(as a friend),

I accompanied a friend to receive covid and flu booster vaccine.  The staff were helpful and a joy to talk to. Can I ask though that some consideration be given to the timing of appointments in the winter? My friend was anxious not to be going home in the dark but received an appointment time for the evening. We went early as could not get through on the phone number to ask for an earlier time. Thankfully she was seen straight away but realise we may not have been fortunate and there was an element of luck. 

The staff were superb in accommodating and I am extremely grateful to all of them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, especially about your interactions with our staff, its always appreciated to hear about the positive interactions people have with them and the support they provide. I am sorry to hear that your friend was unable to get through to change their appointment, and glad they were able to get seen promptly when you both arrived!

I will make sure to share on your feedback with the team and the Vaccination service managers. In particular around the timing of appointments and busyness of the national helpline. Having spoken to colleagues in the vaccination team I know they really value the feedback of patients and are actively using peoples experience to assess and tweak how they are allocating appointments and organising vaccination centres to best balance getting people as ready and quick access to the Vaccine with safe accessible appointment times that work best for them.
