"Visit to greenock town hall for vaccination"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Covid Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

My mother's appointment was 3.30 pm,when we arrived place was full of people .  We waited well over 45 mins until my mother got her jabs.  I had to get her to sit down as I didn't want her collapsing.  Common sense should have told the powers that be to stagger appointments not gather in everybody like cattle. It is very offensive and disrespectful to elderly.  There was scant attention paid to social distancing and inadequate seats for elderly to sit on after receiving jabs. Totally unacceptable.

Hi bubba123,

Thank you for sharing your experience of the NHSGGC COVID Vaccination Programme, I am sorry to hear of the issues you and your mother faced, and wanted to reassure you that I have shared your experience with Bryan from the Vaccination Programme. Bryan asked me to thank you for sharing the issues faced around lack of seating and social distancing at this vaccination centre and that your feedback along with the experiences of other patients will be used to improve that layout and general approach to vaccination in all of the NHSGGC centres.

Kind regards

Paul
