"Flu Vaccination"

I was made to feel that I was being unreasonable. I received a text from NHS stating that I was eligible to have my flu vaccination and that I should contact my GP practice to book an appointment. I am 58 years old and have type 2 diabetes treated with insulin.

The surgery , New Seaham Medical Group, denied me treatment stating that they were only dealing with over 65 year olds. Why send a text telling you to book an appointment at your GP if they are going to say no.

I was advised to go to the chemist if I wanted my jab now. The text clearly tells me that I can have a jab at my doctors. I was very disappointed that I was not allowed to have my jab in a medical setting . All the publicity at the moments states that it is important to have the jab and I tick two of the criteria for those who should have it but was denied service. Very confusing messages be sent here. I am left feeling it is not that important that I bother with the jab now.
