I had meant to post this ages ago. I may have done it quickly on Patient Opinion – I cannae remember.
Anyway – I just wanted to make sure I tried to say thanks for the crew members who helped me way back in early November last year.
It was quite early in the morning at approximately 9 o’clock I developed breathing problems and was taken by ambulance to the Northern General.
But wait – I have Becker muscular dystrophy and this can perplex other medical professionals in their routines.
But the YAS paramedic and crew were fantastic and made no problem of the fact that I was a wheelchair user and could not weight bear when transporting me onto their chair to transfer into the ambulance.
I dunno – I just wanted to say thanks to them if possible.
I was in such a bad way - but they got me there in one piece and - who knows - they might have been the critical help I needed to get me through: )
