I had been feeling quite poorly for several days. I attended A&E as GP surgery unable/unwilling to see me due to cough, temperature and loss of taste. A&E Dr was thorough and diagnosed toncillitis and prescribed Phenoxymethylpenicillin. Five days later my symtoms were worsening and throat now white/creamy, not red. I saw a locum GP at my local surgery, who spent all of five and a half minutes with me, it felt they had no time for me and told me to leave. I was shocked. I went directly to my local pharmacy and the staff there were excellent and extremely supportive, suggesting I contact NHS111 out of hours after 6pm. This I did, thankfully, as I was seen by an extremely professional, caring, wise Dr Coates, who took twenty five minutes with me and diagnosed a bronchial spasm/infection, toncillitis and respiratory issues, and handed me all the necessary medication. This is the next day and I already am feeling brighter, much, much less coughing and wheezing. Thank you Dr Coates. In my opinion, you have to be recognised for your exceptional level of patient care. Thank you most sincerely.
"Excellent help from Out of hours GP."
