Sent to urgent care. Booking process took over 30 minutes due to the staff member having difficulties with computer system and printer which both appeared to have faults from the way she was bashing at them. I was anxious that this was going to take a long time. However, from the moment I had ECG, results from doctor, sent round to Meddoc, seen by doctor there, sent up to Arethusa SAU I was impressed with all the staff and the pace at which I was seen. The doctors at each stage were a credit and put me at my ease with their friendly straight forward attitude and manner. The nurses on Arethusa were 5* and despite them being run off their feet delivered a first class service. I was informed at each step of what was happening. All the usual waiting around for results, for them to be checked, for an outcome, for the discharge process to start and complete. However, those nurses and doctors are a credit. For the record I found everywhere clean and well stocked with gloves etc for the staff and fresh water available for patients. I know people love to point out negatives with NHS but for me I was very pleased we have an NHS and the service given. Perhaps the urgent care actual department could have done with a better computer system and waiting in line the Covid rule of keeping ones distance was not enforced but don't let that detract from an all round excellent service received from Medway Maritime Hospital. Thank you.
