"The community nursing team Lynton, North Devon"

About: Lynton Resource Centre / Minor injury unit

(as the patient),

In October 21 I was walking with my husband along a stony coastal path when I hurt my right foot, although I'm not sure how it happened it became increasingly painful and I was unable to walk any further. We were picked up and taken to our hotel. On the following morning my foot was swollen around the ankle and very painful to put on the floor so we contacted the Minor injuries department in Lynton. They saw us around 2pm that day.

The nurses were very caring and efficient checking my foot thoroughly for where the pain was and how much movement I had in the heel and ankle. They agreed it wasn't broken but felt I needed to rest my foot using ice and taking painkillers. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and nurses on duty that day for their help and advise as we were going home a few days later.

Lovely to see this feedback and we hope this lady is feeling better!

We hope to provide support and assistance to alleviate people's concerns and reduce the pressure on the emergency department where possible.

All the best,

Alison and The Lynton Team
