I was offered psychological intervention as part of a treatment plan for ongoing symptoms of CFS/ME. I was concerned about the treatment as I know that it can be unpleasant and challenging, but that this is necessary to effect a positive outcome.
I can't speak highly enough about the treatment I have received, it wasn't as harsh as I was expecting and the process was astonishing, and so worth while. I have been able to re-frame my understanding of traumatic events in childhood and use this new perspective to 'ditch' some very unhelpful ideas about myself and what happened to me. I feel relieved of a lifetime of pain and suffering. My practitioner, Dr. Cristina, is incredibly skillful in what she does and shows great compassion in a very professional way. I am indebted to her for how she has helped me.
