"Absolutely brilliant on children's ward"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Daisy Paediatric Ward Northern Ireland Ambulance Service

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted to hospital with difficulty breathing. We initially came through via A&E in Craigavon. This was not a very good experience as we had to sit outside for 40 minutes in an Ambulance - it was scandalously busy. The staff however were great.

We were sent home and then came back again this time through Daisy Hill. We went straight through A&E and up onto the Daisy Children's Ward. It is absolutely brilliant up here. All the staff have been excellent. There is nothing here which could have been improved - everything is great except for the fact that staff have been rushed off their feet.

Thank you blueeh95 for sharing yours and your sons experience. It was a pity that you were delayed in the ambulance due to the increased activity in the ED department; this is not something that we like to see occurring although unavoidable on occasion unfortunately.

I am glad that your son got sorted out and that the staff looked after you so well. It is lovely to know that we made a difference even when the ward is so busy.

I will certainly pass your lovely comments on to the staff.

I wish you and your son well.

Regards

Bernie
