"Waiting and worried stiff"

Having waited for a month for an ultrasound scan, I've now been waiting a further nearly 5 weeks for the result and conclusions.
That's 2 months worried stiff with pains, sometimes excruciating, and feeling ill all the time. I can't eat normally either.
I feel like I'm simply a number, stuck in the system with no-one caring.
