Working with ICATT south has been really good for my son. When
he first started with them, he was struggling with some issues with his anger
and hearing voices. My son does not speak a lot, but he does answer when he is
spoken to. Sara the nurse was very patient with him coming up with new ideas to
help him. She helped with my other children as well supporting me through what
has been a difficult time she was always there to talk to if I needed. ICATT
got him into a day centre so he had something to do away from the home giving
him some of his own time. As I don’t drive, I was finding it difficult to get
my son to the day centre. That’s when Sara introduced us to Duncan the support worker
in the team, he very quickly built up a great rapport with my son. Duncan was
able to help motivate him even on the days that he was not the most motivated and
get him to go to the day centre. He also helped me to introduce two personal
assistance and helped my son get used to them. The team
are all very friendly I can’t thank them enough
