I have been a great supporter of the NHS all my 67 years of life.
However my experience in the Derriford lithotripsy dept was not good. I was given a document and asked to give my review after the first lithotripsy session before leaving the hospital. I gave them the thumbs up at the machine was new and was told they had probably cracked on stone.
On my second and third visit I did not feel welcomed. I felt they did not want me there. And I do not know why.
A surly gentleman, who looked like he had been brought in on purpose, was unfriendly and was very sharp in his manner. He undertook an X-ray using the new machine concluding I had no kidney stones of sufficient size to undertake the treatment. I was sent home.
A few days / weeks after coming home a stones of 10.5mm came out followed by other smaller ones of 6mm and 5mm.
