"As a family, we wish to say a great big “thanks“"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Ninewells Hospital / Paediatrics Scottish Ambulance Service / Ambulance Control Centre Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

As a family, we wish to say a great big “thanks“ to the 999 call handler, Paramedics (based in Blairgowrie), who were wonderful and did an amazing job in helping to thoroughly assess our daughter and transfer her to Accident and Emergency at Ninewells Hospital.

Grateful thanks to the on call senior Doctor in A &E for making the decision to admit our Daughter to ward 29.

An inpatient stay for 2 days was required with IV fluids, pain meds being the course of action. Ward 29 provided an excellent standard of nursing and medical care.

Our Daughter is feeling much better and it is all thanks to a cohesive health care system that provided excellent communication, sensible decision making and above all - kindness!

Please can all the departments ( named) have feedback.

Dear Suzy123

Thank you very much for your lovely Feedback.

I am really sorry to read your daughter has had to make use of our services as well as those of the wider NHS. This must have been a worrying time for you all. I really hope your daughter is well on the road to recovery now.

I would really love to pass on your kind words to our call handler and also crew from Blairgowrie. If you would like me to do this for you, please may I ask you contact our team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your daughters name, address and when we attended. This will allow us to identify all our staff involved. It would be extremely helpful if you could make reference to your Careopinion Username which will help us link to this story.

Thank you once again

Best Wishes to you and your daughter

Lesley
