Our baby was delivered via c section at 30 weeks with severe intrauterine growth restriction (IGUR) weighing only 830grams. Our world was turned completely upside down and the emotions we felt were unimaginable. The staff within the neonatal intensive care unit at Musgrove were amazing, not only did they care for our little miracle with so much love and affection but they were a great support to us too. This continued for the 8 long weeks that we stayed at the unit. With another child at home and my husband having to return to work after 2 weeks I could not always be in the unit with my baby which was the most unnatural feeling in the world. It broke me everyday that I had to walk out and leave him but the wonderful staff always reassured me, they sent me photos and videos and answered my many phone calls!
There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for all the staff at Musgrove for saving my baby, working so hard with him so that he was able to come home, without them it would have been very different.
I will forever be in their debt and from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank them enough.
"The gratitude I have for all the staff at Musgrove for saving my baby.."
