The staff care is 11/10. Nurses employ good and attentive care and communicate to me regularly as to updates on my well being and treatment plan. I originally came to the hospital for a day procedure yet the staff made a combined decision to keep me in for a while so I could be monitored and so they could carry out another procedure ASAP. I too was involved in this decision and felt listened to by the staff who wanted and valued my opinion.
I have found the hospital an extremely safe space and have never felt reluctant to have my personal belongings out on show. Additionally, I really enjoy the curtains around the bed as they allow me the opportunity to socialise when I want but also maintains my dignity when required. I also praise the cleaning staff in the hospital as everywhere on the ward is always spotless.
In terms of food, it doesn't always look that great but it tastes good and fills me up, additionally water is always available when I need it. Noise levels are kept to a minimum which is also a bonus especially at night. One thing I would suggest a change on is a mirror in the bathroom would be nice. Additionally in the wet room for showers it would be nice to see area which will remain dry for me clean dry clothes as at the minute I'm having to use top of a bin which I don't think is very sanitary.
Finally just a general praise and thanks to all the staff who dealt with me at Craigavon, much appreciated!
