"Marvellous Care Provided"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Trauma Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I had a fall at home  a few days ago which was traumatizing. The ambulance arrived within 30 minutes and the paramedic “Emma” was very pleasant and was able to reassure me. I was seen in A&E straight away and then moved to Trauma ward.

The staff in Trauma are marvelous and go beyond their duty for all patients.

The tea is plentiful which I am very happy with and I have made friends with patients in my bay. We enjoy chatting and drinking tea to pass the day. Even though it is a Trauma ward it has a very relaxed and comforting atmosphere.  I am feeling nervous about my surgery but the surgeon  has explained the procedure in detail and I feel a bit more relaxed.
