"Colonoscopy and endoscopy - some people have all the luck"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Endoscopy and day care

(as a service user),

This morning, I attended Forth Valley Royal Hospital for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. I know - some people have all the luck!

I was nervous before the procedure, but the pre-op team were superb at putting me at ease. I was seen quickly, looked after in a caring, professional way, and the team really made a difficult procedure relatively effortless.

Nurses EJ, Carol, Barbara, Margaret Anne, and Julie were superb - very friendly, supportive, and attentive, with no end of great chat and mood-lifting banter. Dr Ahmad, who carried out the procedures, was calm and professional and supported me throughout the procedure with encouraging words and regular updates.

They found a few issues with my Crohn's which I'm sure Dr Ahmad will seek to resolve in my follow-up appointment next week.

I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in my care today - their professionalism and compassion was superb.

It is so lovely to receive such positive feed back regarding all the Staff in Endoscopy that cared for you along the way. I will ensure that they are made aware and we will continue to give the highest care possible.

Thank you for your kind words.

I hope you now receive the treatment required to improve your Crohns symptoms and are feeling better soon.
