"Abdominal pain"

About: Urgent treatment centre lincoln

(as a service user),

Went to a&e for severe abdominal pain.

First nurse I saw was lovely and reassuring, got me some painkillers (albeit they were paracetamol so didn't help at all).

Second nurse was dismissive and didn't read the notes the other nurse had written, so I had to explain everything again.

The nurse then asked me if I had a smear test, to which I said no as I am only 20. I feel the staff member became huffy at this and told me I needed one. My age was on the top right corner of the computer but they kept insisting I need one.

Also told me I should go on birth control even though it had nothing to do with the pain I'm in.

Didn't bother doing any other tests, I felt like they wanted me out of there. Once my urinalysis showed it wasn't a UTI or pregnancy the member of staff informed me well it could have been a miscarriage or it could be endometriosis. Go to the doctors.

I asked for painkillers, was told to just take paracetamol and ibuprofen, which I already told them I find they don't help.

Left a&e stressed and in more pain than before, with no answers.

3 hours I spent there and got nothing from it.
