"My daughter's cataract care"

About: Sunderland Eye Infirmary / Ophthalmology

(as a parent/guardian),

When my daughter Alice was born in 2017 she had congenital cataracts. We were unsure if she would be permanently blind. The care we received at Sunderland eye infirmary from the very beginning was second to none. I can hand on heart say that they helped us through the most difficult time of our lives and have continued to do so. We wouldn't be where we are now without them and will and we will be forever grateful. Special thank you to Mr Gnanaraj, Stephen in optometry and the children's nurses on the Haygarth ward for the care and compassion we have seen over the last 4 years.
