For the last 5 months I have asked the practice to update my NHS Covid vaccination record, as one of my vaccinations is missing. I have spoken numerous times to the admin team and send messages via the DrIQ app, however the team seems to be unable to rectify the record. They have promised updates and call backs, but never do.
I requested a statement outlining what action they have actually takent to rectify the matter, but the practice ignores this and every time I contact them we seem to start from a scratch.
This has caused extreme stress, sleepless nights and problems when needing to visit my elderly parents abroad or travel for work.
I have directly contacted the NHS app helpline and spoken to a vaccination centre. All agree that it is the GPs responsiblity to update the record and that this can be done within 5 days.
The lack of customer service and inability to correct an administrative matter is shocking and would be unacceptable for any commercial business.
I understand that in times of COVID the practice is busier than usual, but this doesn't excuse their behaviour in regards to not keeping promises of call backs or inability to rectify an incorrect record.
