"I would appreciate an explanation"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I am attending CAH A+E as I have been suffering from heart palpitations for 2 days now, which is not regular for me. I have found the wait time here to be very long. The staff differ a lot which I understand but so do their updates on our waiting time which is frustrating. I am very stressed about this and not being given one simple straight answer by all, this makes me want to go home. They keep telling me someone will see me soon but my results are okay-however they don't tell me what the results mean or why they are 'okay'. I would appreciate an explanation, I find doctors opinions also seem to vary and sometimes it takes several doctors down the line to then say - actually these results mean this. I feel there is a lot of 'false hope'. 

I feel just above suffice with my care overall.

Good Morning,

thank you for taking the time to share your story via care opinion.

I apologize for the long wait you have endured within the Emergency Department, we have been under immense pressure of late and unfortunately this means longer waits for patients than we would like.

In relation to the waiting times and updates on your care this can be varied due to the nature of the department. We never know what we are going to have coming through the door and this makes everything very subject to change unfortunately.

I hope you continue to get normal results and start to feel better soon.
