"Lack of positivity"

About: Victoria Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as a service user),

Sorry l know times are difficult

Every visit l have not seen the same person twice not good lack of positivity, focus and ownership

No longer should be called physical therapy but paper therapy (excercise)

No one has laid a hand on me

No ultrasound NHS does not believe in it

My GP believes it repairs tissue

I am now seeing a private physio and after 2 visits much better hands on and excercises.

Where l attended, lots of staff and l saw no patients apart from me and the car park is full.

Front line are struggling rehab appears coasting

Hello,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your concerns. I am sorry you felt your experience was not what you expected.

I would be extremely keen to hear further details of your experience so that we can look to improve our service.

We have had significant changes over the last 2 years but I do not try to hide behind that, only to learn from it. We have had to rub our service out and restart it to an extent, moving to the telephones, no patients allowed, priority only and much of our space used for other service delivery. We are still bound by space restrictions due to the pandemic but are trying to return to a full service. Your site may well still have restrictions due to the site itself.

While the offer of face to face continues to be restricted, where it is clinically agreed that this is required it should happen.

The choice of clinical approach should be pertinent to individual clinical assessment and goal setting with the therapist open to your concerns and expectations but this appears not to have been the case for you?

Please, if you think contact me on 01383 623623 ext 22248.

Best Regards

Mark Fargie

MSK Physiotherapy Lead.
