"No GP's available for as much as a phone call"

About: Willesborough Health Ctr.

I am a carer for a vulnerable person who suffers with chronic conditions. Ever since lockdown ended we have tried desperately to see a GP in person as her condition(s) are extremely complex and multi-faceted.

Unfortunately, the best we have managed is a telephone conversation with a G.P. who seemed disinterested at best. We use Patient Access and Econsult, however these methods are not at all helpful for disabled people with chronic conditions as the questions are vague and the space for answering is limited. At best the patient is sent an automated text promising a call within 2 days. Out of the 6 times we have tried e-consult and been promised a call we have recieved said exactly once. Otherwise we will be sent a text by the GP with no facility to respond.

How truly brilliant these GP's must be to diagnose and treat without speaking to the patient at all!

It seems blindingly obvious that NHS patients at this surgery are being pushed to private practice as these GP's cannot even deliver a simple phone call.

I should add that the receptionist team, nurses,HCA's and the physio have all been absolutely fantastic in my experience. They each go out of their way to help and I am grateful for all they do and the empathy they do it with.
