"Trip to bloods"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Clinical haematology

(as a service user),

Trip to bloods yesterday was traumatic...first of all had the security raise their voice at me and other patients when first arrived and when I get to bloods the phlebotomist was telling me I need to drink more and was very grumpy and rude, not willing to listen to me the patient tried to explain I can't drink 4 pints of water before I arrive at 9am. They said they can't get blood from me but why not, other phlebotomists have been able to get it from me.

Dear Amaphil

We want you to know that we are very grateful for your feedback; unfortunately our services are under significant pressure at the moment with many staff redeployed from their usual roles to help out and this is likely to mean a delay in our response. We apologise for this but want to assure you we will come back to you. Thank you again.

Jennie
