"Felt like Royalty!"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency North Devon District Hospital / General surgery North Devon District Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit North Devon District Hospital / Theatres

(as a service user),

This week I’m a patient, last week I was a nurse! I’m currently experiencing what it’s like for our patients first hand at NDHT after being admitted with acute appendicitis and I have to say everybody has treated me with so much care and attention!

ED particularly Mike was kind and attentive ensuring I was dealt with quickly.

Lea was welcoming on AAA and made me feel less anxious.

Then I was made comfortable and to feel welcomed and cared for by all the staff on KGV.  My experience in theatres was one of true professionalism. I felt safe in their hands.

We are so lucky to have such amazing teams here at NDHT and I’m proud to say that this week I have worked in the Trust 21 years and I know the reason why!
