"Wonderful Early Cancer Diagnostic Centre Service"

I have just been through the ECDC pathway and I am very pleased with the care I received from them. The staff were very organised and I couldn't believe how quickly I got a CT scan and then my results. Everything happened within a couple weeks and it all went very smoothly. When the staff said they would contact me about my care, they did exactly that. I was never kept waiting. Katie, the cancer nurse specialist, was very reassuring and was able to answer any questions I had which put me at ease. Radiology were also very pleasant and welcoming. When I received my results from Katie she immediately put me at ease by saying it was good news and there were no signs of cancer before explaining what they did find on my CT scan, which thankfully was something very minor. My GP followed up with me this morning and we both agreed that this is an invaluable service.

Maybe the only thing I could say that would make a small improvement would be when I was waiting in the waiting area for my scan, if someone was able to pop over and just say "hello, nice to meet you. We won't be long in taking you for scan". For me that would've stopped me wondering when it was turn to go in next. However, I am being very picky in saying that. I really can't fault my treatment and I am very pleased with the care I received from everyone.
