"Third Covid Vaccine fiasco"

About: NHS Forth Valley / Covid 19 Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

As a CEV (clinically extremely vulnerable) I was given an appointment for my third dose of Covid vaccine at Falkirk Community Hospital.

Turned up shortly before my appointment time.

Stood in a queue for two hours in an enclosed corridor with no ventilation, social distancing or seats.

All CEV folk.

Queued along two ground floor corridors then upstairs, where social distancing was eventually introduced.

What a fiasco.

There must have been maybe a hundred or more CEV folk in an unventilated corridor with no social distancing for two hours!!

I see this as madness and high risk. A very poor show indeed.

The team and I were so sorry to hear your experience at our vaccination centre. On the day you attended we unfortunately experienced some operational difficulties.

We are grateful for your feedback and on receipt of this and feedback from others we have made some changes to improve the management of queues if such challenges happen again. Fortunately the centres have been working well since this event. We will however be monitoring this to ensure this continues.

Thank you again
